What you’ll be doing

Reporting to the Director, Digital Analytics and Integration you will be a key manager in the team responsible for creating, designing, communicating and maintaining the Data Architecture for all pertinent data sources and systems. You will lead efforts to collaborate with multiple cross-functional teams and data owners to identify key data sources and associated elements, design the interconnectivity and processing pipelines between data sources, manage the implementation of various data pipelines and serve as the owner for data ingestion architecture, design and implementation. You will serve as an SME for all pertinent data sources across the bank and will be responsible for bringing together numerous datasets, owned by teams across the bank, for all Digital initiatives. You will further leverage both on-prem and cloud-based platforms to ensure appropriate access and governance processes are implemented and data quality standards are adhered to and are integral part of all data ingestion and data processing pipelines.

You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote. How you’ll succeed

  • Data Architecture: Collaborate with cross functional stakeholders to assess, document, maintain and socialize data architecture artifacts. Develop and socialize processes to accelerate and govern access to data sources identified within data architecture along with details on key data elements, tables, views and the relationships amongst data sources. Collaborate with multiple technology and business partners to design, implement and QA data ingestion and data processing pipelines across multiple and varied data sources.

  • Data Strategy: Leverage the designed and implemented data architecture to inform data and advanced analytics strategy on key Digital Projects. Leverage the data architecture to clearly articulate data sources and elements that should be used as the source of truth to track and calculate project and channel performance metrics and KPIs.

  • Business Consulting: Conduct business problem assessment independently. Gather relevant information related to business processes, functions and operations to evaluate data credibility and quality. Utilize creative thinking to modify or select the most suitable procedure/approach to solve a business problem. Perform in-depth analysis for the purpose of identifying use cases, insights and opportunities for informing multiple business and technology partners.

Who you are

  • You can demonstrate experience in working with multiple technology and business teams to build, design and implement data architecture artifacts, including conceptual, logical, technical and infrastructure architectures. Further you can demonstrate experience and knowledge in ensuring the agreed to data architectures are implemented and delivered in a timely manner in collaboration with multiple technology and infrastructure teams.

  • You have extensive hands-on experience designing and building data ingestion and data processing pipelines with automated data quality checks.

  • You can demonstrate experience in working with large datasets including both structured and unstructured data and related tools. Must have hands-on experience and advanced level expertise in SQL, Python, SAS, data architecture design, data ingestion methods and best practices and data engineering.
