Job Description

As a Talent Acquisition partner at Takeda based in Toronto, Canada, you will deliver specialized Talent Acquisition support to various global business units and markets within the Americas region (Canada and US). As part of the global TA team, you will work closely with multi-disciplinary teams, providing the opportunity for global exposure and a broader experience. You will report to the Head of Talent Acquisition for the Americas region but will work closely with the Talent Acquisition Regional Lead for US & Canada.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners and Hiring Managers to source and select high-quality talent.

  • Lead end-to-end search strategy and execution with a focus on metric-driven assignments.

  • Act as a Talent Advisor, fostering relationships with key stakeholders and hiring managers and guiding hiring managers on recruitment processes using core Talent Acquisition applications.

  • Facilitate 'Recruiting Strategy' intake meetings to set expectations and deliverables.

  • Conduct comprehensive talent sourcing and pipelining.

  • Consult on diversity recruitment goals and ensure diverse candidate slates.

  • Provide counsel on candidate assessment, compensation recommendations and negotiations, and market trends.

  • Foster strong relationships with candidates, internal/external clients, and partners.

  • Maintain external focus: stay informed of labor market trends and provide insights to stakeholders.

  • Provide guidance on emerging legal and compliance requirements specific to Canada recruiting practices.

  • Identify recruitment challenges and provide feedback to enhance processes.

  • Build Takeda’s reputation as a top employer through social, events, and candidate engagement marketing.

  • Support and drive talent process improvements, leveraging data and technology to enhance recruitment strategies.

  • Meet staffing metrics including Time-to-Fill, Cost-Per-Hire, Hiring Manager Satisfaction, Candidate Satisfaction and Quality of Hire.

Expected Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • +5 years of professional recruitment experience

  • Proficiency in English, both verbal and written

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong cross-functional relationships and communicate complex issues and concepts to a wide range of external and internal stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated experience managing the candidate process orchestrating a positive candidate experience throughout.

  • A data-oriented approach to recruitment, with the ability to analyze and leverage data to improve talent processes.

  • Experience managing niche hiring within the pharma, biotech, or tech industry

  • Proficient with or ability to learn HR databases, applicant tracking software (Workday) or other recruitment systems & candidate management systems.

  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in sourcing and hiring candidates within the pharma / biotech / life sciences industry

  • Strong preference for business language proficiency in French, both verbal and written

  • Experience hiring for US and Canada

  • Experience partnering with RPO

REQUIREMENTS:

  • This is a hybrid role Toronto, ONT which requires in-office attendance a minimum of 2 days per week.
