Description Job Description:

We are seeking for an experienced Payroll Processor for our large automotive client. This is a hybrid role that requires extensive knowledge of both US and Canadian Payroll processes. Ideal candidate should be proficient with Ceridian Day Force software and comfortable managing high volumes of payroll data. The penetration to process payroll for over 1500 employees is a crucial function of this role.

Responsibilities:

1. Process high volume payroll for over 1500 employees on a bi-weekly or monthly basis.

2. Ensure compliance with all federal, state/province, and local payroll tax regulations for both US and Canada.

3. Prepare, verify and process payroll related entries for time and attendance, deductions, and additional adjustments.

4. Handle payroll related inquiries and resolve any discrepancies in a timely and accurate manner.

5. Maintain accurate and current knowledge of all payroll-related laws and regulations.

6. Create and maintain employees' payroll records and confidentiality.

7. Assist in the preparation of relevant reports for senior management.

8. Collaborate with human resources and accounting departments to ensure accurate and timely payroll.

9. Experience working with unions is preferred.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a payroll administration role; automotive industry experience a plus.

2. Strong understanding of payroll processing, tax principles, and reporting requirements for both the US and Canada.

3. Experience using Ceridian Day Force software is required.

4. Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.

5. Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.

6. Strong communication skills to effectively resolve payroll related inquiries.

7. Must have ability to handle high volume work in a fast-paced environment.

8. High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Office Suite applications.

9. Understanding of union contracts and their impact on payroll is preferred.
