The Job:

As a Sales Engineer Manager, you’ll be part of our NA Electrification and Mobility Automotive team working as a Hybrid employee. You’ll get to:

• Oversee team that manages Application Development for customers and serve as the technical leads for the Sales team and provides escalation support as needed.

• Develop a team that effectively manages customer relationships and application development, striving to create and capitalize on profitable revenue growth opportunities.

• Exhibit entrepreneurial capabilities to enhance and provide strategic direction for Sales Engineering.

• Manage the performance, developments, and rewards for all direct reports.

• Staff teams to support profitable growth; defining responsibilities as required to respond to customer needs

• As a Business Development lead, develop new business pursuit strategy through market intel.

• Oversees ownership customer specifications & establish clear requirements of the part/application at the beginning through end of life of projects.

• Work with customers to identify and develop performance criteria and products for applications.

• Supports launch/pre-production build support of new B2P or EngProj parts after receipt of order.

• Ensure team verifies the final revision/release of a part is designed to meet the customers’ requirements and obtain customer approval of concepts.

• Understand customer pain points and protect and improve existing business

• Develop vehicle platform program plans (Strat Plan/Budget/SFDC) penetration

• Support customer build events, technology shows and meetings

The Person:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Masters degree preferred

• Automotive Industry Experience required

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a management or leadership role.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Sales Engineering.

• Demonstrates skills and comfort in proactively building relationships.

• Excellent judgment and creative problem-solving skills.

• Superior management skills; ability to influence and engage direct and indirect reports and peers

• Exceptional interpersonal, presentation and negotiation skills.

• Strong customer relationship focus

• Ability to effectively interface with the senior management team.

• Must be able to work effectively in a matrix organization
