Job Description:
Responsibilities in Accounting:
Maintain the Libraries' budget database; Provide and summarize data for zero zero-based budgeting process; assist the Director in the creation of the annual budget
Track purchasing for Electronic Serials and Acquisitions Librarian, provide supporting data as needed.
Interact with Acquisitions/Cataloging Department to process collection items invoices, justify credit card statements
Prepare and process all Library purchase orders and invoices for approval and payment
Create expense reports, and reconcile expenditures with the College's financial management system, interpreting information that is presented in "accrual accounting" format
Investigate best value options and order Library supplies requests; Receive and document all purchase deliveries and maintain warranty files
Develop and maintain a strong relationship with the RSC Business Office and with vendors with whom the Libraries do business
Prepare and distribute check requests and travel advances/expenses
Coordinate response to and completion of surveys, grant proposals, and external requests for information
Oversee regular deposits of Papercut money
Other duties as assigned
Responsibilities in Clerical Duties:
Maintain and improve organization of Library files, both print and electronic
Process documentation for hires, stipends, terminations, and employee change of status
Assist with special program scheduling and set up
Prepare and follow up on maintenance work order requests
Monitor department phones and email inquiries
Manage library calendars, in coordination with the Library Access Services Librarian
Other duties as assigned
Responsibilities in Library Access Services:
Supports Information Desk staff with regular desk coverage, desk duties include but are not limited to assisting library users with checking out materials, troubleshooting print jobs and other technology, and supervising student workers. Occasionally may require providing desk coverage in the Albany Library.

Responsibilities in Academic Support & Student Success:
Assist with recruitment of new student tutors (organize and maintain faculty recommendations, message recommended students, send hiring forms, schedule interviews and training sessions)
Process documentation and hiring forms for newly hired student workers
Assist with payroll approval; compare documentation with student worker timesheets
Track and communicate w/ student tutors about documentation and payroll issues
Update tutor scheduling system with names, changes to schedule, and other relevant information
Schedule interviews and training sessions for newly hired student workers
Maintain and organize data in the Tutor Documentation Log
General Clerical Work, including data entry, monitoring email, communicating with students and campus personnel, creating/editing documents
Create, copy, and distribute event promotions
Assist with special events coordination, including appropriate forms, procuring supplies, and setting up space
Assist in the creation and coordination of responses to Academic Support surveys
Assist at Solutions desks as available
The estimated wage is $17.50 per hour for 37.5 hours per week for 52 weeks.
Requirements:
Minimum Requirements
Experience with Excel
Experience with Google Apps
Customer Service Experience
Earned credit for some college-level courses
Excellent organization skills
Preferred Requirements
Library Experience
Bachelor's Degree
Experience in training and scheduling staff
Experience providing help to college students
