WISCONSIN DEPT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - LTE, UG in UNION GROVE, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Our LPNs are responsible for providing quality, routine direct and indirect patient care on a unit. Duties include assisting the Registered Nurse in making critical observations of clients and assisting in complex care situations; working directly with families; providing assistance in personal care; administering and documenting treatments and medication; participating in the maintenance of care unit; and working with an interdisciplinary team. Core Shifts Available AM 1st Shift - 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. PM 2nd Shift - 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. NOC 3rd Shift - 10:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. **LTEs may work partial shifts on request.** Job duties require the ability to assist in patient mobility efforts, stand and/or walk up to 75% of eight-hour day to provide assessments, kneel, stoop, make visual observations, lift, push, pull, carry, reach, maintain hygiene, use special safety equipment, and wear protective clothing. Employment in this position is contingent upon passing a pre-employment tuberculosis (TB) skin test. Employees at this healthcare facility are required to provide their COVID-19 vaccination status, whether vaccinated or not, by date of hire, and provide supporting documentation if vaccinated. The Wisconsin Veterans Homes continue to follow necessary health and safety protocols for COVID-19, which are subject to change, depending on public health considerations.
