Job Summary

Provide coaching and mentorship to community behavioral health staff and leadership with the usage of the IM+CANS and supporting tools, coach the TCOM philosophy, assist with implementation of other HFS directed clinical initiatives including curriculum development and implementation through statewide Learning Collaboratives to support best practices in utilization of the IM+CANS in clinical practices, provide ongoing coaching and support for new initiatives, demonstrate competency as a curriculum trainer and serve as Subject Matter Expert for New Service Initiatives and Systems of Care (SOC) curriculum.

Duties & Responsibilities

Conduct in-person and online coaching sessions and Learning Collaboratives with community behavioral health staff and leadership to improve usage of IM+CANS, it\'s supporting tools, and the TCOM philosophy.

o Using various training, coaching and transfer of learning methodologies, engage in person and by webinar with Medicaid enrolled providers to:

o Assess agency-specific challenges and build strategies for effective implementation and accurate use of the tool developing, planning, and analyzing.

o Work in conjunction with the Clinical Quality Review team to ensure providers are aligned with best practice and service in implementation efforts.

Lead the development of Learning Collaboratives to support community behavioral health staff and leadership in the usage of IM+CANS and philosophies which support client centered and collaborative relationships. Specifically supporting:

o The IM+CANS assessment and treatment planning tool and any related components of the tool or related topics that are necessary.

o Integration of the IM+CANS into Systems of Care work and Wraparound for Care Coordination and Support Organizations staff and leadership.

Plan and deliver both web-based training, including questions and answers, and on-site training statewide for:

o The IM+CANS assessment and treatment planning tool and any related components of the tool or related topics that are necessary.

o Integration of the IM+CANS into Systems of Care work and Wraparound for Care Coordination and Support Organizations staff and leadership.

o Training of newly launched Medicaid services to support providers in the successful development, implementation, and analysis.

Develop training and coaching curriculum, including on-site training and web-based training on intermediate and advanced use of the comprehensive behavioral health assessment tool and its relevance to effective treatment planning for children and families.

o Provide feedback to Field Services Coordinator and Workforce Development Team as Subject Matter Expert on new services, the IM+CANS implementation efforts to guide future curriculum development and statewide support strategies.

Other Duties as Assigned.

o Some analysis of training effectiveness may be required.

o This training will be based in Systems of Care (SoC) principles.

o Statewide travel may be necessary several days per week in order to effectuate trainings.

Minimum Qualifications

Master\'s degree in social work or related field from an accredited college or university. Clinical licensure in Illinois, LPHA status pursuant to 89 ILAC 140.453. 1-3 years of Behavioral Health Services (Clinical) experience. 1-3 years experience as IM+CANS user/supervisor. Active IM+CANS user certification including past training received though PATH. IM+CANS trainer level certification within 90 days of hire. SOC trainer certificati n within 120 days of hiring.

Preferred Qualifications

Clear understanding of TCOM and client centered philosophy, experience training preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Self-motivated and able to work semi-independently to train peers in assessment and care planning. Working knowledge of change management strategies, established training, coaching and transfer of learning methodologies, case study and clinical case presentation methodologies, established evidence-informed child behavioral health practices and clinical interventions, the impact of trauma on the child and family system, child and adolescent development, issues related to diagnosis and co-morbidity, and other behavioral health issues.

Appointment Information

This is a 100% full-time Academic Professional position, appointed on a 12-month basis. The expected start date is as soon as possible after the search posting closes.
