Across its five product groups, Airframe Systems produces a host of world leading technology. Our Braking Systems product group supplies both military and commercial aircrafts.
We seal essential spaces, such as landing gear, wings, engines, nacelles, windows and doors, and produce intelligent air data systems and sensors that measure altitude, angle or acceleration. These sensors can be used on planes, train control systems or even missile control systems.

The Engineer 3, Systems provides technical expertise in the design, development, validation, testing, and verification of hydro-mechanical and electro mechanical systems.
Job Core Responsibilities
Braking System/Tire Pressure Monitoring System Requirements / Design Including project assigned Lead Systems Engineers who establish braking system architectures and requirements. Development of system-level requirements to meet customer specifications for multi-domain systems (e.g. hardware, software, mechanical, hydraulic). Requirement validation (e.g. traceability, simulation, analysis and review).
System Integration Including Hardware In the Loop (HIL) System Integration Testing and System Requirements Verification Flight Test Support, analysis of aircraft test data and development of associated test tools (e.g., Simulink) Modeling Including the use of tools such as MATLAB/Simulink in order to develop simulation models of aircraft, aircraft systems and individual hydraulic and electrical components Control Algorithm Development Including the development and tuning of control algorithms associated with Brake Control, E-brake Control and Nose Wheel Steering
• The Systems Engineer will participate in activities in one or more of the areas above. • This role involves interaction with customers and/or suppliers. • Further specific accountabilities/specialism in one (or more) of the above areas may also be assigned. • Leads multi-disciplinary team to meet internal and external project objectives. • Prepares and reviews documentation including the following: technical specifications, design documents, user guides, work instructions, test plans, test procedures and technical reports. • Plans, organizes and controls activities to ensure on-time delivery and the quality of output. • Actively participates as a member of their skill center and/or program development teams. • Carries out special projects as assigned. • Authority for technical approval. • Willing to travel (both domestic and international).
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering discipline (preferably Aerospace, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering) Years' Experience: 5+ years’ experience in related field Skills: Essential • Experience in System Development Process to include requirements development, system design and integration and system testing (V-Model) • Experience in System simulation and modeling • Experience working with Electrical and Avionic System integration • Experience in aircraft flight test certification program • Experience working with Certification Authorities to achieve system certification to Part 23 and 25 – Airworthiness Standards • Proficient in the use of requirements management database (e.g., DOORS) • Proficient in the use of Matlab/Simulink • Self-motivated, self-starter who works well in a team and can motivate others • Works under general direction and within established processes/procedures • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Ability to lead and/or mentor junior and supporting staff Desirable • Working knowledge of Aerospace Qualification and Certification (ARP4754A, DO-178B/C, DO-254, DO-160G, ARP4761, AS8584, ARP1070) • Experience in Aircraft Braking System development preferred • Experience in ARINC429 and CAN protocols • Willing to challenge the status quo
