About This Role

Monetate is looking for a Staff Accountant who will be responsible for maintaining financial procedures and confirming financial compliance through preparation of the company’s reports and statements. You will work on ensuring a successful month end close by completing accurate journal entries and account reconciliations. You will also have an opportunity to learn and grow in your career as an accountant.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare journal entries while ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP

• Complete account reconciliations and various supporting schedules

• Provide support during tax returns, bank reconciliations, and various audits

• Organize and update financial records

• Recommend ways to reduce costs and enhance revenue

• Prepare documentation for external and internal audits

• Assisting with other accounting functions, such as Accounts Payable and processing vendor bills, as needed

  What You’ll Need

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or relevant accounting experience

• Strong Excel skills (including formulas, pivot tables, and ability to manipulate large spreedsheets)

• Knowledge and understanding of GAAP

• Ability to pay close attention to detail
