Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in Van Nuys, California. The chosen candidate will be responsible for managing and analyzing financial transactions and processes within a manufacturing environment. This role involves ensuring accurate inventory, financial reporting, and budgeting to support our manufacturing operations and ensure overall financial health.

Responsibilities:

• Handle accounts receivable and accounts payable, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of these processes.

• Conduct general ledger management, including journal entries and month-end close activities.

• Manage and reconcile inventory discrepancies, and perform periodic physical inventory counts.

• Analyze inventory turnover and manage obsolete or slow-moving inventory, aligning these processes with the manufacturing industry's best practices.

• Generate and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, using Microsoft Excel and other relevant software.

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls, maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation.

• Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support decision-making.

• Identify and implement improvements in financial and operational processes to enhance efficiency.

• Collaborate with other departments to streamline cost control and reporting processes.

• Assist with audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role

• Proficient in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations

• Strong understanding of General Ledger and Journal Entries

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Experience in Month End Close procedures

• Knowledge of Annual Inventory management

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is a plus

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment

• High attention to detail and accuracy

• Knowledge of accounting software and databases

• Familiarity with accounting regulations and compliance
