The Role:

We are seeking a Senior Project Accountant to serve as a dedicated superuser for our Oracle Cloud ERP software. This individual will attend superuser training sessions with Live Nation’s global team, becoming a subject matter expert and provide training and guidance to our local staff of thirty colleagues. In addition to system implementation, this role will manage accounting processes related to capital expenditures, marketing expenditure accruals and prepaids, joint venture intercompany transactions, cash forecasting, and department process and procedure oversight.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead as a change champion for our new Oracle Cloud ERP system

  • Conduct system testing to identify and resolve any issues

  • Attend training webinars and collaborative video calls with other divisional super users, in addition to accessing self-service demos and reference guides

  • Deliver engaging training sessions and workshops for local system users

  • Build user confidence by providing coaching and mentorship to individual users as needed

  • Support operations teams with capital projects, coordinate payments, and maintain schedules

  • Reconcile fixed asset projects and ensure accurate setup of capital assets

  • Prepare monthly asset reports to identify accruals and depreciation

  • Review quarterly asset schedules to identify possible impairments and retirements

  • Manage month-end and year-end advertising expense reconciliation, accurately accounting for accruals, and prepaid expenses

  • Oversee monthly digital advertising expenditures, ensuring proper event allocation, and completion of accruals

  • Prepare and review cash flow schedules for timing of distributions and foreign currency purchases

  • Perform monthly reconciliation of joint venture intercompany balances for cash settlement

  • Develop, maintain and enforce a documented system of accounting policies and procedures to ensure SOX and internal control compliance

  • Review accounting policies and procedures for optimal efficiency and effectiveness

  • Support internal audit requests as needed

  • Perform other assigned tasks as required

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent

  • CPA Designation or equivalent

  • Minimum 2 years experience with Oracle Cloud ERP

  • Experience working in a large, complex organizations

  • Robust understanding of business operations, accounting principles, and their application within ERP systems

  • Minimum 2 years training experience

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience with GL reconciliation of complex accounts

  • Strong organizational & time management abilities

  • Strong analytical skills and very detail oriented

  • Ability to multi-task, proactively solve problems, prioritize, and meet time-critical deadlines

  • Strong computer skills with demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel

  • PowerPoint skills an asset

    Stationary position for extended periods of time at a computer station or work desk; movement throughout the day; occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.; ability to operate computers and office equipment for up to 8 hours each day; move up to 10 pounds regularly; exposed to typical office environment conditions and noise levels.

The expected compensation range for this position in British Columbia is:

$85,000 - $110,000 CAD **
