FACILITIES MAINTENANCE SUPPORT

JOB DUTIES

This is an entry level position supporting the Facilities Maintenance department with multiple tasks including, but not limited to the following:

• Demolition of plumbing and mechanical utilities.

• Use hand tools, power tools, and measurement devices.

• Assist with preventative maintenance and servicing duties.

• Gather materials, parts, tools, and supplies to be used on a project.

• Practice the proper and safe use of power and hand tools.

• Maintain area cleanliness and organization.

• Comply with all company safety policies and procedures.

• Report all safety hazards and incidents.

• Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be at least 18 years old.

• Must possess general mechanical aptitude.

• Able to follow safety procedures including wearing proper protective equipment.

• Able and willing to take direction and learn new skills.

• Able to read, understand, and follow written, multi-step instructions, policies, and procedures.

• Basic math and computer skills.

• Good communication skills including ability to communicate project status. Able to communicate with co-workers and other departments with professionalism and respect.

• Mature in judgment and behavior.

• Punctual, responsible, and dependable.

• Adaptable, flexible, and able to adjust to new or changing instructions.

• Able to work both as part of a team and independently.

• Able to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

• Must be capable of frequent reaching, bending, squatting, crouching, kneeling, standing, climbing, and stooping, sometimes for long periods. Will occasional lifting up to 50lb.

• Must be able to ascend and descend ladders. Must be tolerant of heights.

PREFERRED SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE

• Some mechanical/construction background or training preferred.

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to read and comprehend instructions and safety procedures. Will occasionally work in a clean room environment wearing clean room suite, hood, booties, safety glasses and gloves. May require the use of hands to finger, grasp, handle or feel objects, tools and controls. Kneeling, bending and crouching positions, as well as the lifting of parts and use of hand tools in such positions, may be required. Occasionally lifts up to 25 lbs. Hazardous chemicals or vapors may be present in work area depending on assignment. Exposure to occasionally loud noise levels. A high degree of safety consciousness is required for all positions at SEH America.
