Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center is Southwest Washington's most modern hospital, offering the latest technology in a setting designed for comfort and care for the whole family. We feature innovations in joint replacement, robotic surgery, pelvic health for women, cancer care, intensive care for newborns, neurosurgery, medical care for children and more.

Legacy Salmon Creek is a Joint Commission accredited Primary Stroke Center. The Emergency Department has 32 beds, with 75,000 annual visits. We have a unique triage intake process with a provider in triage. This process helps improve patient flow and satisfaction.

 

 

Responsibilities

The supervisor is accountable for the direct coordination and supervision of unit operations. Serves as a role model and resource for patient care. Provides leadership and promotes team building amongst staff. Facilitates communication amongst staff, physicians, management and all other customers. Is responsible for effective implementation of policies, procedures & standards. Supports and models preferred employee and employer profiles. Performs duties in any clinical capacity as needed.

Qualifications

Education:

Academic degree in nursing (BSN or MSN/MN) required.

 

Experience:

One year of relevant clinical nursing experience at proficient to expert level of practice required. Demonstrated knowledge of operations, including staffing and scheduling, budget management, workflow planning, performance management and staff development.

 

Knowledge/Skills:

Demonstrated positive interpersonal and communication skills with colleagues, patients, families, physicians and the community.

Demonstrated knowledge of operations, including staffing, scheduling, budget management, workflow planning and staff development.

Ability to manage a broad span of control through implementation of a self-directed team approach.

Strong communication and leadership skills with a willingness to lead by example.

Keyboard skills and ability to navigate electronic systems applicable to job functions.
