Description

We are currently seeking a diligent part-time Bookkeeper to join a team on a contract to hire basis. This is an exciting opportunity for an accounting professional experienced in QuickBooks and ERP systems residing in Vashon Island or willing to commute. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all financial transactions, from fixed payments to variable expenses.

Responsibilities:

• Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.

• Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all bills are paid on-time and incoming payments are recorded accurately.

• Maintain financial reports, records, and general ledgers; prepare and analyze budgets; and perform general bookkeeping.

• Conduct month-end and year-end closures.

• Preparation of financial reports detailing the company's financial status.

• Compliance with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements.

• Utilizing QuickBooks and ERP systems to streamline procedures and workflows.

  Requirements

• Proven bookkeeping experience for 2+ years.

• Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles.

• Experience with QuickBooks and ERP systems is a must.

• Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.

• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• BSc degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration is preferred.
