Purpose statement

To operate and grow a successful Regional Delivery practice within sa.global, evidenced by sustainable growth, consistent achievement of budgets, and an engaged and retained workforce. As the Delivery Director for APAC, you will provide management, leadership, professional and technical guidance in the delivery phases of projects; enforce controls to ensure contract compliance and manage processes to ensure that the works are delivered to the required standards and in accordance with the client and sa.global. In collaboration with other senior management, you will build and execute a people plan for the delivery practice to ensures the delivery team has the right capabilities to deliver exceptional projects.

This role can be based in Australia, Singapore or Malaysia.

Areas of Responsibility

  • Responsible for the budget, team headcount, and meeting the revenue target goals for the delivery team.

  • Work with the Account and Sales Managers during the SOW preparation phase to review all contracts. Hold responsibility for reviewing detailed information about project scope, estimates, timelines, roles and responsibilities. Assess all assumptions thoroughly, ensure that the statements are reasonable to mitigate any risks.

  • Develop and execute the practice strategy, including specific targets for the use of the global service centres and the delivery of sa.global intellectual property, aligned directly to sa.global's vision, to achieve the agreed annual revenue and EBITDA budgets.

  • Monthly reporting of the results against the budget and strategy, delivered to both sa.global leadership and regional people.

  • Monitor and proactively address practice KPI's such as utilization and no bill work.

  • Ensure regional compliance with local laws, regulations, and sa.global company standards and business rules.

  • Provide visible leadership, that supports and promotes sa.global leadership values.

  • Develop and execute specific initiatives to attract and retain the right people in the region.

  • Ensure the delivery team deliver successful projects, driving value to the customer, and upsell where appropriate.

  • In collaboration with the project managers, lead customer steering meetings or facilitated strategy sessions, analyze processes and recommend improvements on complex projects.

  • Resolve issues critical to the clients' strategic and operational success.

  • Scope the software and services required to help clients achieve their objectives.

  • Ensure projects are forecasted properly and delivered on budget.

  • Define “best practices” in delivery including templates, work plans, and methodologies.

  • Enhance the reputation of the practice and organization by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests.

  • Measure customer satisfaction throughout an engagement, specifically identifying ways in which the team can increase current levels of satisfaction.

  • Engage with sales and support the sales process from lead to deal close.

  • Liaise where appropriate with Microsoft.

  • Ongoing commitment to continuous professional development.

Experience and Abilities

  • Proven relevant experience leading enterprise client engagements.

  • A strong knowledge of methodologies around ERP implementations.

  • Minimum of 5 years of project delivery within Microsoft Dynamics solutions.

  • A demonstrated logical approach to problem solving and structured approach to introducing change into operational systems.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead a diverse and remote regional team.

  • Financial acumen and experience budgeting, forecasting, and managing a business to a profit & loss statement.

  • Commercial awareness and the ability to turn strategic thinking into tactical plans and actions.

  • Market-focused with a growth mindset.

  • Evidenced ability to succinctly communicate relevant information to diverse audiences.

  • Empathy and compassion while being able to make tough decisions.

  • Strong leadership, communication skills, client presence and focus, and the ability to influence executive stakeholders and clients.

  • Demonstrates and is recognized as an eminent thought leader internally (ideally, externally as well).

  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a global and matrixed company.

  • Deep experience in understanding client needs and selling and delivering solutions.

Education

  • BS/BA degree or direct experience or practice management.

  • Relevant Microsoft certifications are preferable.

  • Project Management certification is highly desirable.
