GE Healthcare Summer Intern – Testing in Finland

Job Description Summary

As a Testing Intern, you will join a Scrum team that develops CARESCAPE patient monitors. Your primary responsibility will be ensuring the quality and patient safety of the monitors through diverse testing, working collaboratively with experienced testers. Measurement technologies, like invasive pressures, will become familiar to you. The role will provide you with a vantage point to medical software development. Gradually, you can grow to health tech areas that interest you, as we offer wide opportunities at our site in Helsinki. This work comes with a great purpose.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the manual tests of patient monitors. -> Learn the monitor functionality inside out.

  • Develop and execute automated test cases of patient monitors using Robot Framework. -> Develop your skills in scripting.

  • Use Windows and Linux environments. -> Widen your IT skills.

  • Participate in documentation and other Scrum team activities based on team priorities. -> Become a trusted and reliable collaborator.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • On-going studies in Health Tech, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related computer field, preferably first-year student in health tech

  • Eager and quick learner

  • A persistent mindset is essential, not afraid to fail and learn from it.

  • Proactive in finding your way through complex tasks

  • Fluent in English, both written and oral

  • EU work permit

Desired Characteristics

  • Familiarity with using the Linux command line

  • Hands-on experience in scripting or programming, desirably with Python

  • Experience in Robot Framework

  • Experience in Git

  • Experience in Agile way of working
