About the role

As the Continuous Improvement Lead for Carrier, you’ll be responsible for the continued development, promotion, and strategically aligned implementation of Carrier’s operating system designed to drive world-class results in customer satisfaction, quality, on-time delivery, customer value, and ultimately operating financial performance. You’ll provide the thought leadership, strategic direction, coaching and lead the tactical implementation of a lean operating system across all of CCR (Carrier Commercial Refrigeration) factories.

Requirements

As a minimum you must have:

  • Degree in Technical/Engineering Field

  • Proficient English language

  • 5+ years of experience from operations and/or continuous improvement roles

  • Has the ability to create followership (effective change management skills are a key success factor)

  • Effectively articulate issues, facilitate their resolution, and report results orally and in writing to multiple levels in the organization

  • Willingness to travel 50% or more globaly and Driving license

Responsibilities

As the Continuous Improvement Lead, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Build Operational Excellence (OpEx) capability across the CCR factories (in all functions)

  • Serve as a thought partner to the Director of Operations regarding strategic improvement initiatives

  • In collaboration with the factories, and with a consultative mindset identify opportunity for operational improvements, and then work side-by-side with factories leaders to drive these improvements

  • Enable the use of OpEx thinking and tools to drive factories performance across all functions

  • Ensure operating metrics and key performance indicator systems are consistently tracking the appropriate measures and provoking appropriate responsive behavior

  • Participate in factory monthly operating reviews to ensure focus and a sense of urgency with respect to CCR priorities

  • Constructively challenge leaders on their use of OpEx to deliver world-class results

  • Help drive OpEx “best practices” across the factories and functions

  • Develop the OpEx talent of the factory teams through assessments, on-the-job and classroom training, certification processes

  • Lead benchmarking studies as required to expose operations/supply chain leadership to cutting edge best practices and to evolve our manufacturing and supply chain capabilities
