Rocket Software Sr. Application Developer - Salesforce CPQ in India

Job Description Summary:

Sr. Application Developers on the Global Business Applications team are responsible for developing new features and functionality, and enhancing application capabilities on Rocket’s critical back office systems and platforms. The Sr. Application Developer is responsible for engineering, enhancing, and testing applications and platforms, including general Salesforce development and configuration.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Develop and configure new system enhancements and features on the Salesforce Platform.

  • Participate in the full Salesforce application lifecycle, from technical design to development, testing, deployment, and post go-live support.

  • Work with stakeholders and effectively partners with team members to design thoughtful solutions.

  • Create and manage both declarative and code-based customizations leveraging workflow rules, process builder flows, Apex, Visualforce, SOQL, and Lightning Web Components.

  • Build and support data integrations using SOAP-based and REST-based web services.

  • Analyze and improve existing system functionality and customizations.

  • Proactively identify opportunities to streamline and optimize the codebase.

  • Identify and remediate bugs and defects.

  • Work independently on multiple projects against deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while consistently producing deliverables within agreed upon timelines.

  • Create and maintain technical and solution design documentation and test scripts.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of software engineering / application development experience. Minimum 2 year experience developing in Salesforce.

  • Experience developing and configuring in Salesforce Sales Cloud and/or Salesforce Service Cloud.

  • Experience building Lightning Web Components (LWC) and/or Aura-based Lightning components, and other Lightning Component Framework tools and concepts.

  • Experience coding in Apex and JavaScipt.

  • Experience querying with SOQL in complex development scenarios.

  • Experience working with HTML, XML, AJAX, SOAP, REST, JSON, SQL, CSS.

  • Ability to design, code, test, debug, package and deploy quality, scalable and well documented solutions on the Salesforce Platform.

  • Implementation and practical experience working on large Salesforce projects involving complex integration with other systems.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of object-oriented development and relational databases

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Able to work on less-defined projects.

  • Self-manages tasks.

  • Works well in a team. Team oriented, collaborative, accountable and dependable.

  • Experience in an agile development environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Salesforce certifications in the development, administrator, and/or architect tracks.

  • Experience querying with SOSL.

  • DocuSign CLM experience

  • Experience with common JavaScript libraries (JQuery, AngularJS, etc.).

  • Salesforce DataLoader experience.

  • Visual Studio Code experience.

  • Experience with Salesforce CPQ.

  • Experience with Salesforce Advanced Approvals.

  • Experience with Salesforce Experience Cloud.

  • Experience with Java.

  • Experience with Python.
