Oracle Java Developer in Ireland

Job Description

The team’s primary responsibility is to diagnose, debug and resolve bugs reported by enterprises as well as improving the overall quality and stability of the JDK including all Oracle JDK Update releases. The role also provides opportunity to improve the supportability and diagnostics tooling of the JDK .

In this team, you will get the opportunity to engage and contribute to the OpenJDK community . Gain experience of OpenJDK by contributing features, fixes and backports to this open-source project. Achieve stronger debugging skills and develop secure and more performant coding practices.

Responsibilities

Experience & Qualification

  • Minimum BS in Computer Science

  • Strong development experience with the Java language, particularly with the JDK core libraries

  • Proven ability on troubleshooting and debugging Java issues

  • Experience on Linux environment

  • Must be excellent problem solver, creative thinker, and very self-motivated

Preferred qualifications:

  • Knowledge on data structures, algorithms, performance tuning, threading and concurrency

  • Knowledge on security concepts – SSL, Cryptography, Certificates, Code Signing

  • Development experience with native system programming

  • Familiarity with Solaris Cryptographic Framework.
