Vectrus Automation Support Supervisor Sr in Marshall Islands

Overview

This position is physically located in the Marshall Islands in support of LOGCAP

Performs duties inherent with the operation and maintenance of the installation data automations network, to include systems and Network Administration, Information Assurance, Hardware/Software maintenance, and Help Desk. Maintains liaison with other personnel and agencies required to support the Automation systems. Responsible for the administration, troubleshooting and maintenance of all network and systems infrastructure equipment and the activities of all personnel assigned to the Automation Section. Establishes work schedules, maintains good order and discipline and ensures all automations personnel are properly trained to perform assigned tasks

Responsibilities

This position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company.

  • Ensures that automations personnel are scheduled and available to perform in accordance with contractual requirements.

  • Ensures that all personnel are trained to perform assigned tasks, to include technical training, QC, and Safety.

  • Ensures periodic training is documented in accordance with the TAC-SWACAA training plan.

  • Produces and provides reports and documentation as required.

  • Ensures that all networks are proactively monitored for availability and reliability using Government-furnished network monitoring utilities.

  • Ensures availability of Local Area SIPR/NIPR Networks and associated services at levels that meet or exceed contractual requirements.

  • Reports all outages and corrective actions per locally defined procedures

  • Acts as the primary point of contact for all Automations issues and maintains liaison with other department personnel and agencies required to support the Automation systems.

  • Help to plan network and system development and expansion as needed.

  • Enforces company policy, provides mentoring and feedback to personnel, documents substandard behavior and performance. Recommends personnel actions to include recontracts, promotions, demotions, and terminations.

  • Attends and prepares for meetings as required.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Ensures that automations personnel are scheduled and available to perform in accordance with contractual requirements.

Qualifications

  • Education/Experience Requirements

  • Minimum Qualifications

  • Five (5) years of Information Technology Operational experience with at least five (3) years of Supervisory experience. U.S. citizen

  • Must read, write, and speak English fluently.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP), LSS Black Belt, LSS Green Belt, ITIL or SCRUM Master is highly desirable.

  • Interim or Final Secret clearance is a requirement. Any candidate applying for the position that does not have a clearance will have six months to accrue clearance documentation from date of hire.

  • Certification:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP), LSS Black Belt, LSS Green Belt, ITIL or SCRUM Master is highly desirable.

  • ITIL v4 Certification is preferred.

  • Must be proficient in using Microsoft Office software. Interpersonal and communication skills are requirements of this position as there is constant interaction with customers. Possess knowledge of medical logistics. Must read, write, and speak English fluently. Must be capable of dealing with multiple problems simultaneously.

  • Working Conditions:

  • Must be capable of working in an extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit.

  • Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, wet, tropical environment with average temperatures of 130 degrees in the summer months).

  • Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well.

  • The worker is subject to atmospheric conditions. One or more of the following conditions that affect the respiratory system of the skin: fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, or poor ventilation.

  • The worker is subject to both environmental conditions. Activities occur inside and outside.

  • Physical Requirements:

  • Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

  • Work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents.

  • Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.

  • Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.
