Intel Senior IP System Validation Engineer in Malaysia

Job Description

Passionate FPGA/ Emulation System Validation Engineer who is motivated to work on cutting edge IP's and process nodes that powers Intel products across Client, Server, and Bootable SoC Testchips in enabling Intel Foundry Customers. The experienced engineer will have an opportunity to define a robust and high-quality test coverage plan to validate various IP’s and protocols on x86/ARM/RISC-V, PCIe, DDR, UCIe using FPGA based early prototyping and emulation validation hardware systems.

The responsibilities cover:

  • scoping and development of validation test plans, and execution for latest generation IP's and SoC’s.

  • contribute to testbench bring-up and troubleshooting which involve FPGA boards, test cards and debug tools.

  • deliver proper documentation for validation strategies, plans, best-known methods and learning.

  • continue to strive for innovation in problem-solving to improve test coverage in efforts to minimize project execution time while increasing efficiency.

  • keep validation lead and architect updated about milestone progress, challenges, risks, and impact to quality or schedule with integrity.

Qualifications

Applicants must possess a Bachelor or higher of Science degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent with at least 7 years of relevant work experience. We're looking for candidates with the following attributes.

  • Good coding skill
  • Passionate to apply hardware and software engineering skillset to push verification, validation and regression testing to next efficiency level
  • Good problem-solving skills and a self-starter.
  • Hands-on experience with hardware and software debugging tools.
  • Ability to comprehend content of technical specifications for architecture, microarchitecture, registers, and schematic.
  • Highly motivated to learn IP architecture and new verification tools/flow/methodology and adapt to fast-changing technologies and environments.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-site team environment.

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
