JOB DESCRIPTION
CSMART is currently looking for an Operator for 40 hours per week, with a particular focus on assisting our Technical and Nautical Instructors in their classroom and simulator activities.
CSMART, Center for Simulator Maritime Training, is the international award-winning training center for Operational HESS trainings onboard, online and onsite programs for Carnival Corporation & plc.
As an Operator you are an integral part of the CSMART team, where your key responsibilities will include, yet not limited to:
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Deliver theoretical, practical and/or de-briefings lecture room modules based on skills & knowledge;
• Operates the Simulator during exercises;
• Follow exercise scripts coordinating with instructors regarding role play;
• Assist with briefing and debriefing participants;
• Ensure debriefing rooms are functioning and prepared as per schedule;
• Assist instructor with modules/elements of the course;
• Assist/deliver the simulator familiarization part prior the exercise
• Ensure the simulators and class rooms are neat and tidy, properly set up for planned scenario activities prior to Instructor and participants entering;
• Focus on understanding the use of Checklists, Standard Operating Procedures and Emergency Procedures;
• Assist with simulator maintenance in keeping with expertise and IT departmental guidance;
• Work closely with the instructor pool and facilitate potential progression to Instructor led tasks.
• Assist with new simulator related courses/material and testing;
• Apply the principles after attending BRM Basic/NACOS Platinum/Voyage Planning/Dynamic Positioning and/or ERM/DEP course. Followed by more complex programs like Foundations Nautical and Technical, CD, BRM/ERM Advanced, Promotion Assessments and HV training.
Requirements & Experience:
• College or bachelor's degree in technical, maritime, aviation or other suitable environments;
• Knowledge within the maritime (suitable) backgrounds can be taken in consideration;
• Experience at sea or similar field experience within a CRM trained working environment;
Served as a third Officer/Engineer is preferred.
Technical Skills
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 is advantageous;
• Basic knowledge of computers and networks;
• Be able to operate FMB, FME and HV workshop simulators after suitable training and following courses.

• Fluent written and verbal English language

• Good interpersonal and communications skills;
• Analytical and structured thinker;
• Works well in a multi-cultural team environment and is self-managing on individual assignments;
