Job Description

Who are we looking for?

We are looking to hire a Solution Engineering Regional Leader for Tech Sales Engineering team. It is critical that the successful candidate can lead through change to drive the team successfully, make sure alignment with sales and fostering collaboration within the Sales Engineering function.

The leader should have a data driven and architecture-centric vision for the team, with a strong customer success focus.

She or he should lead the team in articulating benefits of transformational technologies while linking them to the software portfolio and other Oracle solutions. It is expected that the leader also engages directly with customers and take on senior discussions, explaining our strategy across the region.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the BeNeLux region team of Solution Engineers and individual contributors.

  • Understand, communicate, and drive the strategy for the TSE (Technology Software Engineering) organisation.

  • Demonstrate complete understanding of all technical aspects of the sales process and can lead all aspects of the technical sales process.

  • Enable and empower the team to position the correct solution with a focus on customer outcomes.

  • Own relationships with key customers from a technology perspective and ensure customer success.

  • Advise the CIO/CTO and guide their teams on the workloads to focus on as they look to move their business to a cloud co-existence architecture - public, private, hybrid, cloud-adjacent.

  • Participate in strategic and tactical planning for the division. Collaborate with the Business Development team.

  • Demonstrate superior leadership and mentoring skills.

  • Actively drive x-lob organizational collaboration.

  • Build working relationships with the wider Tech/Cloud SE leadership team.

  • Manage escalations.

  • Regularly interact across functional areas with senior management or executives to ensure unit objectives are met.

Experience and Technical attributes

  • Enthusiasm, energy and ability to evangelize and expand the overall Licences technologies footprint

  • Broad knowledge and experience in private and public cloud ecosystem

  • Good understanding of the IT market.

  • Understanding of newer data management paradigms around the Data/AI ecosystem would be beneficial

  • Understanding of software technologies, Cloud Infrastructure Solutions

  • Experience in a customer-facing role such as a consultant, solution engineer or architect

  • Experience in managing/leading a geographically dispersed team.

  • Strong infrastructure architecture / design skills with a passion for technology.

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Provides direction and specialist knowledge in applying the technology to a client’s business.

Facilitation of customer product/application understanding through presentations demonstrations and benchmarks; provision of support throughout the sales cycle.

As part of the Oracle sales team, you will direct and manage pre-sales resources throughout the sales cycle.

Provides technical/functional leadership to the sales team in the development and implementation of customer applications and customer products.

Participates in account planning and strategy development.

May publish technical information on specific applications and/or technical articles.

Works with management to define new products.

Serves as the company liaison on specific technical projects with customers.

Regularly interacts across functional areas with senior management or executives to ensure unit objectives are met.

Ability to influence thinking or gain acceptance of others in sensitive situations important.

Knowledge of software industry relating to all aspects of business solutions.

Demonstrated leadership skills.

Strong presentation skills.

Ability to Travel as needed.

BA/BS degree or equivalent, advanced degree highly desirable.
