The company chose Panama as being best suited to establish its new Global Business Services (GBS) operation center. This new center will initially deliver Finance, Human Resources and Legal services to ELC employees across several geographies and time zones. Through a new innovative service minded approach, this center will redefine service standards globally at ELC. This new GBS team will provide a one-stop-shop solution for the ELC businesses, supported by new customer engagement insights, new systems, and new reporting. In addition to delivering exceptional service to the ELC businesses each day, the GBS team will also be responsible for continuously streamlining work in pursuit of growing its service offering in support of achieving ELC’s strategic and business objectives. Position Overview

This role is critical in providing financial support for the North America Online A/R team, carrying out responsibilities for the US and Canada brand.com portfolio. Demonstrating a ‘customer first’ attitude, the individual will partner with other functional areas to ensure the accurate and timely delivery of financial services. This includes the resolution of A/R transactions related to unreconciled sales orders. The candidate will need to demonstrate a strong financial skillset in order to analyze complex business transactions and understand their impact on end financial statements.

Qualifications

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Identify root cause for unpaid sales orders by utilizing available reports in external payment platforms

  • Resolve issues causing unreconciled sales orders through strategic cross functional relationships and coordination with all levels of Customer Service, Order Management, Master Data, and Online team

  • Perform cash clearing GL account reconciliations

  • Recognize potentially fraudulent activity and escalate as appropriate

  • Engage in and suggest continuous process improvement ideas

  • Ensure that all activities are performed in the most efficient and effective manner possible

Additional Job Specifications:

  • Proficient in Excel and financial reporting systems; Working knowledge in SAP

  • Ability to collaborate and drive cross-functional consensus through strong communication and presentation skills

  • Continuous improvement and service-oriented mindset; consistently reviews processes and procedures to drive efficiency and effectiveness and improve client experience

  • Ability to work under pressure of tight deadlines and to multitask

  • Ability to work independently and in groups
