About the role and what you’ll be doing:

The Finance Analyst will be responsible is supporting the Senior Finance Manager, the wider FP&A team, and their specific Business Partners. They would support end to end budgeting and forecasting process in their specific area, evaluate the profitability and performance of the business and the impact of new decisions, monitor the business KPI’s and propose solutions in case of deviations, provide analysis and insights relating to both shorter- and longer-term performance of their specific area, and assist the wider team in ad hoc requests.

Key Areas of Focus for this Role

  • Build strong relationships with their business partner including participating and preparing for regular meetings, understanding business needs and best ways to support.

  • Produce regular, timely, detailed and clear analysis to support the business area in understanding performance.

  • Provide monthly executive reporting, including clear and concise commentary on the performance, including recommendations to aid improvement.

  • Contribute to month end by partnering with Accounting and making sure their relevant business area’s number are correct, or they understand any deviations.

  • Identify risks and opportunities against budget/forecast and discuss how the risks can be mitigated and opportunities fully capitalized.

  • Support the budgeting and forecasting process: create accurate forecasts/budget understanding all existing & new client trends, types of costs, margins.

  • Prepare scenario analysis and/or financial modelling to support in business decisions.

  • Become SME in Adaptive and OfficeConnect and other modelling tools FP&A uses. Suggest ways to improve reporting and forecasting, and identify opportunities for standardization and automation.

Your experience and skills

  • 4-5 years work experience in Finance, of which 2-3 years of relevant experience as an analyst.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics.

  • Masters degree is preferable in analytics, finance, business or Acca/Cima qualification or qualification in progress.

  • Highly numerate and analytical with a keen eye for detail and goal oriented.

  • Excellent communication skills and able to build good relationships and partner with key stakeholders.

  • Strong Excel skills and ability to work with large sets of data.

  • High standard of accuracy with financial data.

  • Familiar with financial concepts and systems, and interest for working with systems to improve processes and reporting.

  • Experience in Consulting business is a plus.
