Customer-facing Solution Engineer (SE Interactive)

The main responsibility of the Solution Engineer is to secure Oracle Cloud solution selection through a preeminent engagement with our customers. Solution Engineers assist Oracle Sales Representatives and Executives, other ISV sales and Implement Partners teams to drive the sales of Oracle Cloud Solutions across EMEA.

IMPACT

Interactive solution engineers support EMEA Apps revenue directly in the assigned prime territory through direct engagement with Oracle customers and partners. By engaging with the customer directly in client meetings to understand their requirements and offer relevant solutions, the Interactive SE acts as a bridge between the sales and ISV / product technical teams, providing valuable insights and solutions to potential clients. This role involves a strategic approach to understanding client needs and aligning product or service offerings according to industry needs and challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver an outstanding customer experience remotely leveraging value-selling techniques and remote conference technologies.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge and expertise in Oracle Cloud Solutions delivering industry-focused presentations and product demonstrations to help our customers understand the value of Oracle’s Cloud Solutions.

  • Develop customer-specific value propositions highlighting benefits and differentiators of Oracle Cloud compared to the competition.

  • Create and deliver customer presentations that articulate Oracle’s Cloud Solutions and their value associated to customer’s requirements. The role is 100% external customer-facing.

  • Build and deliver compelling customer demonstrations to contribute to sales success.

  • Run value reviews and workshops on focus deals; work directly with sales and partner teams to identify and deploy best value proposition for customer and industry.

  • Represent Oracle at online / onsite marketing events relevant to the industry.

  • Own the functional and technical responses to tenders with help of the broader Solution Engineering team.

  • Collaborate on Customer opportunities with Oracle Sales, Solution Engineering and Product Management communities.

  • Collaborate with Oracle Partners (ISVs) on sales opportunities; provide coaching and support to ensure growth through partners.

  • Support the channel model and growth through partners strategy by delivering programmatic presales sharing sessions to partners. Work alongside partner teams when needed to support revenue growth through partners.

  • Work alongside other central teams (i.e. marketing, domain, product development) to drive pipeline creation campaigns digitally.

  • Create and deploy reusable assets across the entire sales cycle to ensure revenue optimization.

  • Provide visual storytelling support for customer-facing sessions and demand-generation events.

Profile of the Interactive Solution Engineer role:

Business skills:

  • Experience in presales or business consultant role working with cloud solutions or in a similar consulting / sales role for a different SaaS offering

  • Great understanding of Customer’s business requirements and compelling needs. Industry expertise highly valued.

  • Most important is an eagerness to learn and advise Oracle Cloud customers

  • Ability to deliver polished presentation to Csuite – proven experience in corporate storytelling

Customer Engagement Skills:

  • Work experience in a similar role is an advantage.

  • Excellent communication skills, able to articulate complex messages very clearly. The Interactive SE is a story teller.

  • Openness and proven ability to work with different languages & cultures.

  • Experience and ability to deliver engaging presentations / session remotely first, and in person.

  • Customer focus: the SE won’t be satisfied until the job is done to the right quality for our customers.

  • Ability to work in (virtual) teams. To get a specific job done can require working together with many colleagues, partners and customers avcross different regions and timezones.

  • Self-motivated, the Interactive SE have the natural drive to learn and pick up new challenges

  • Team-worker.

  • Agile and happy to continually adapt to change.

  • Always looking to raise the bar of own skills/competencies development.

Language Skills:

  • Fluency in English (customer facing grade) is mandatory.

  • Minimum one other WE language (French, Italian, Spanish, Nordics, Dutch, German) at proficient level (C2/C3). Multilinguals individuals high advantage.

Technology Skills:

  • Very good understanding of IT and Cloud technology market trends. Expertise and experience in at least one primary industry.

  • Bachelors or Master’s degree.

  • Knowledge of Industry leading Cloud Platform solutions.

  • Experience in working with industry leading Cloud solutions would be an advantage

  • Understanding of Cloud Architectures and Cloud licensing models

  • Extensive knowledge of value selling methodologies and coaching abilities.

  • Able to use design tools and adept at storytelling through technical capabilities.
