GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

To provide the retail licensees of the State of Wyoming with an assortment of wines and spirits in an efficient, accurate, and timely manner.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The listed functions are illustrative only and are not intended to describe every function performed at the job level.

  • Pick bottles and cases and prepare for shipment to fulfill the mission. Assist in Specials when assigned.

  • Unload, check-in, receive, and put away truckloads of product to include; listed, specials, and seasonal/One-time Buy.

  • Report any safety issues that come up during the shift and report the issue to the Supervisor and/or Manager.

  • Train employees on the proper use of material handling equipment and replenishment.

  • Fill out breakage slips and time-off requests correctly.

  • Conducts regular and/or spot-check inventories of merchandise, supplies, or equipment.

  • Maintains accurate records and logs.

  • Delivers items that are either stored in a secure warehouse or received by the warehouse.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE:

  • Knowledge of warehouse procedures and techniques, including sorting and stacking.

  • Knowledge of Federal, State, and Local policies and regulations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education & Experience Substitution:

1-3 years of progressive work experience (typically in Purchasing or Inventory)

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

None

OR

Education:

Associate's Degree (typically in Finance)

Experience:

No prior experience required

Necessary Special Requirements

PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds at a sustained rate regularly.

NOTES:

  • FLSA: Non-Exempt

  • No family members of existing Liquor Division Warehouse employees are eligible for hire.
