Class Summary

This Ground Maintenance Associate position is responsible for performing routine maintenance of grounds such as mowing grass, picking up trash, and basic equipment maintenance.

This is a full-time, 40 hours per week position. The work schedule is Mon-Fri from 7:00am to 3:30pm. Occasionally throughout the year, there are weekend work and after-hours schedule changes. This position requires the incumbent to spend a majority of the workday outside in all elements.

Essential Duties

  • Mowing grass, pulling weeds, and assists in trimming trees and shrubs

  • Picking up trash, recyclables, and other debris from grounds

  • Operating lawn mowers, trimmers, edgers, and other equipment

  • Performing basic maintenance

  • Maintaining recreational fields by dragging, aerating, and lining fields

  • Cleaning, moping, and maintaining supplies

  • Assisting with special projects such as setting up and taking down for events, performing equipment maintenance, and other activities as needed.

Grade

The grade for this position is A12(2).

Effective 4/11/2023, this position is eligible for the Employee Referral Program.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma, or G.E.D.

  • Valid driver's license

  • An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job will also be considered.
