Position Summary:

The Jira Administrator is responsible for configuring, maintaining, supporting and enhancing our Atlassian suite, including Jira, Confluence, Service Desk, Bitbucket, and several plugins.

This is a Remote/Work from Home position reporting to the Sr. IT NOC Manager.

What you will do:

  • Serve as Internal SME for Jira, Jira Service Desk and Confluence.

  • Meet with stakeholders to identify JIRA needs and implement them as appropriate.

  • Set up, customize, and manage Jira projects, workflows, schemes, fields, screens, and permissions.

  • Create and maintain user accounts, groups, roles, and permissions.

  • Install, upgrade, and integrate Jira with other applications and plugins.

  • Monitor and optimize Jira performance, security, and backup.

  • Provide training, documentation, and guidance to Jira users.

  • Analyze and report on Jira usage and metrics.

  • Work Jira/Atlassian suite tickets submitted by employees.

  • Identify and implement improvements and enhancements for Jira functionality and user experience.

  • Develop metrics, dashboards, and advanced filters in JIRA to provide end-users and business leadership with meaningful operational/performance metrics and status reports.

  • Act as a liaison between IT and Business teams.

  • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related IT discipline or equivalent industry experience

  • 5+ years Jira Software, Jira Service Desk and Confluence software administration experience

  • 5+ Years of experience with customization of for tools like JIRA, Jira Service Desk, Confluence, creating custom workflows, fields, conditions, validators, post-transitions.

  • Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with stakeholders and software development personnel.

  • Knowledge of change management methodologies used to drive organizational change.

  • Proficient in MS Excel, modern communication tools for virtual teams (i.e., MS Teams.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, presentation, and problem-solving skills.

  • Self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills, self-directed and able to handle multiple priorities with demanding timeframes.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a high-quality results-driven, team-oriented environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to use discretion, make sound decisions, and maintain confidentiality.

  • Willingness and ability to work flexible hours.

  • Proficient in MS Office, modern communication tools for virtual teams (i.e., MS Teams)

    Physical Demands:

    Employees may experience the following physical demands for extended periods of time:

  • Sitting, standing, and walking (95-100%)

  • Keyboarding (40-60%)

  • Viewing computer monitor, tablet and cell phone screen requiring close vision (95-100%)

    Work Environment:

    100% Remote: Work environment is at home.

    Compensation :
