Federal Acquisition Service Program Analyst in United States

Summary As a Program Analyst, you will develop, manage, and administer policy guidance and tools for both internal and external customers through ongoing program review of procedures. Location of position: General Services Administration (GSA), Federal Acquisition Service (FAS), Office of Strategy and Innovation (OSI). Duty location to be determined following selection. We are currently filling one vacancy, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed. Responsibilities Evaluates, plans, and directs the analytical and evaluative work for critical functions related to the development and presentation of plans related to matching business requirements to systems and technology solutions. Integrates results of various studies and analyses into comprehensive technical briefings, reports, and technical papers. Identifies and collects necessary data including legislative and program data and interviews with senior management, program officials, employees and supervisors; assembles and assesses information gathered; formulates findings, conclusions, and recommendations. Provides authoritative guidance and leadership to programs impacting one or several major services. Plans, organizes, and carries through to completion analytical studies involving issues related to key agency programs. For a brief video on creating a Federal resume, click here. The GS-14 salary range starts at $122,198 per year. Locality pay will be determined once the selectee's duty location has been established. If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected. To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level or higher in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience with program management to set the strategic direction of the organization that includes the following: Analyzing and measuring the effectiveness, efficiency and productivity of administrative or technical programs; Overseeing workforce and other related studies, coordinating and analyzing findings and making recommendations on substantive programs. Identifying or developing metrics to measure success of initiatives and using quantitative and qualitative data to determine if success has been met.
