What We Want
This part-time Research Associate will be expected to contribute to the research project by administering telephone and online surveys to opioid treatment provider programs nationwide. The selected candidate will recruit participants from opioid treatment programs (including directors, supervisors, counselors, client referral sources, and clients) via emails and telephone calls, keep track of and consistently follow up on contact attempts, both before recruitment and during data collection, and conduct telephone surveys and send instructions for online surveys, based on survey participant’s preferences.
The Research Associate will also manage and respond to project related emails, maintain quality control standards to preserve the integrity of data and findings, participate in weekly project meetings over Zoom, and summarize survey results through visualizations. Additional duties may include, but are not limited to, conducting literature reviews and writing introduction sections, using Qualtrics to generate survey links and to download weekly reports of survey completion progress, mapping out program site locations, helping create dissemination materials, and contributing to training and recruitment materials.

Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelors and 2 years of relevant professional experience
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to keep track of large amounts of information using Excel
Ability to maintain a professional demeanor when speaking with survey participants
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Education and Experience:
Graduate degree in science or related field
Previous research assistant experience, including obtaining informed consent from human subjects
Experience administering telephone surveys in a research environment
Experience with Qualtrics for survey management
Experience with Excel, including the creation of visualizations using Excel’s built-in functionality
Experience with specialized software and basic PC skills
Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI Program) certification for colleges and universities
Completed Human Subjects training and HIPAA training
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to read interview scripts, record responses on paper or onto a computer
Ability to use Excel at an intermediate level
Responsibilities:
Recruit survey participants
Participate in administering and reviewing surveys
Participate in data collection, management and calculations.
Maintain a good working knowledge of all assigned protocols and reporting requirements
Safeguard confidentiality of subjects
