About the job

The Senior Director of Segment Sales Development will partner closely with Marketing and Sales leadership to drive inbound and outbound pipeline generation for a fast-growing global organization, ultimately empowering the Sales team to reach new heights. This individual will be responsible for pipeline targets by leading a global team of SDRs qualifying inbound meeting requests, as well as outbound prospecting into the most promising startups all the way to the C-Suite of the Fortune 500. Reporting to the Vice President of Segment Worldwide Sales, this position offers an outstanding and exciting opportunity to craft the future of how Twilio will generate sales pipeline.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:

  • Lead team to deliver high quality pipeline generation and revenue targets

  • Drive tight integration with sales leadership for opportunity handoff and pipeline reviews

  • Define the direction for a modern global outbound sales development organization

  • Communicate the vision in a compelling way to the team and cross-company partners

  • Build the day to day operations of the organization to ensure high impact

  • Hire, lead and coach a strong management team to lead a rapidly growing organization

  • Partner with Marketing, Sales, Operations and Enablement leadership to ensure team is supported and equipped to achieve the vision

  • Sponsor development programs that build a team driving impact and ready for promotion

Required:

  • This leader should be experienced in using outbound marketing campaigns, predictive analytics and sales automation tools to innovate our prospecting methodology.

  • 6+ years experience in technology sales leadership

  • 2+ years leading a global outbound sales development team as a manager of managers

  • Exceptional development track record of first and second line managers

  • Proficiency in prospecting tools and platforms (lead generation, email, phone, data enrichment & cleansing, SDR processes, etc.)

  • Expertise in highly effective prospecting strategies and tactics

  • Experience working in a rapidly growing, fast-paced organization selling technology solutions to the enterprise

  • Furthers a culture of innovation and learning

  • Leads cross-functional change with a highly collaborative leadership style

  • Consistent overachievement in previous performance and results

Location

This role will be remote, based in the USA.

Travel

The estimated pay ranges for this role are as follows:

  • Based in Colorado: $234,320.00 - $292,900.00.

  • Based in New York, Washington State, or the San Francisco Bay area, California: $260,400.00 - $325,500.00.

  • This role may be eligible to participate in Twilio’s equity plan. All roles are eligible for the following benefits: health care insurance, 401(k) retirement account, paid sick time, paid personal time off, paid parental leave.

  • This role is eligible to earn commissions.

The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location within the state.
