Senior Software Developer (Minneapolis, Denver, Salt Lake City, Boise, Dallas, or Phoenix)

We are seeking aSenior Software Developerto join our Information Systems department for our Minneapolis, Denver, Salt Lake City, Boise, Dallas, or Phoenix office. In this role, you will participate in development, customization, and support of custom and purchased software applications. This position can be fully remote.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Software Development

Under general direction, participate in instructing, directing, and checking the work of other software developers. Participate on small projects in the role of technical lead. Also develop, code, test, and debug new software or enhancements to existing software applications (both Web and non-Web based).

Quality Assurance

Play a lead role in ensuring that all information systems products and services meet minimum organization standards and end-user requirements.

Business Process Definition

Participate in and sometimes lead the definition for most complex systems process analysis, design, and simulation.

Database Development

Under general direction, design, implement, and maintain complex databases with respect to SQL, stored procedures, access methods, access time, device allocation, validation checks, organization, protection and security, documentation, and statistical methods.

Production Support

Assist with issues with production systems as they arise throughout the day. Provide off hours on call support as Information Services needs and technologies dictate.

What we’re looking for:

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related subject, or equivalent work experience, is preferred.

  • At least 8 years of overall IS work experience.

  • At least 1 year as a project team lead.

  • At least 8 years of experience as a development project team member.

  • At least 5 years of experience with Microsoft.NET C# and ASP.Net development.

  • At least 5 years HTML development.

  • At least 3 years application use of SQL.

  • At least 2 years of database modeling for application development.

  • At least 2 years working with business to gather, define, and document requirements (e.g. business analyst type activity).

  • At least 2 years defining/performing testing activities.

Preferred:

  • Experience working in an IS “Help Desk” role.

  • Service orientation.

The pay range for this position in Colorado only is an annual salary of $110,000 to $135,000.

This range represents Dorsey’s good faith estimate of likely compensation at the time of posting. Actual pay will be dependent upon a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills and location and may fall outside of the range indicated.
