Due to Company growth, we are actively seeking a Sr. Project Manager to join our Renewables Team in Portland Maine. Candidates must have experience working in the utility industry, preferrably on solar projects.

  • The Sr. Project Manager will manage the internal Project Management team and manage, direct, and coordinate all aspects of work related to substation and related projects.

  • Coordinate with the Director of Project Controls to lead monthly project reporting, collect and compile data from Project Management team and present to Program Manager and Senior Leadership Team

  • Develop project approach and implement project execution plan

  • Monitor project schedules, manage scope, and control project costs

  • Support internal project financials, staffing, risk management, change management, contract management, tracking and resource management for all projects.

  • Lead and support the project team to ensure deliverables are being provided to client’s satisfaction and that projects are following internal and external QA/QC guidelines.

  • Promote a culture of “can do attitude” and “say do” ratio with project deadline and quality across the team

  • Ability to prepare proposals, assist in presentations, and participate in contract negotiations.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is highly preferred

  • 7+ years relevant project management experience in electric utility projects is required

  • Knowledge and experience with project management processes and tools.

  • General understanding of utility operations

  • Cost management and scheduling experience is preferred.

  • Ability to influence, lead, and manage change thoughtfully and positively.

  • Must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills; and the ability to clearly and effectively present complex information to all levels of employees, management, and clients.

  • Strong project management skills and a strategic perspective is required.

  • Must be a Maine resident or able to relocate to Maine for this role
