Insight Global Floor Technician in Voorhees, New Jersey

Job Description

Our large healthcare client is hiring Floor Technicians, also known as floor care technicians, who will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of various areas within the hospital. They will play a crucial role in keeping floors aesthetically pleasing and free from harmful microorganisms.

Responsibilities:

Cleaning: Perform thorough cleaning and maintenance of floors, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming.

Floor Care: Use floor buffers, carpet cleaners, and other equipment to maintain the cleanliness and appearance of floors.

Spot Removal: Remove spots from carpets and perform bonnet and extraction carpet cleaning.

Trash Disposal: Dispose of trash and assist with hazardous waste collection.

Equipment Operation: Operate floor sweepers, buffers, strippers, canister vacuum cleaners, and shop vacuums.

Safety Measures: Wear adequate personal protective equipment (PPE) when working with chemicals and equipment.

Microorganism Control: Protect patients and visitors by keeping floors free from harmful microorganisms.

Inventory Management: Keep an inventory of floor areas and schedule cleaning and maintenance duties.

Maintenance Reporting: Report maintenance issues to the supervisor.

Hazardous Waste Collection: Assist with hazardous waste collection as requested.

Skills and Requirements

Requirements:

High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent preferred.

1+ Years of Floor maintenance experience

Ability to work with hazardous chemicals, bodily fluids, and communicable/infectious diseases.

Resilience to noise.

Physically agile.

Excellent communication skills. null
