Ridgeview Medical Center Coordinator Volunteer Hospice in Waconia, Minnesota

Purpose of Job This position is responsible for providing support to Ridgeview's Volunteer Services Hospice Volunteer Program and department leadership. Area of focus is Hospice Volunteers. Job Functions Provide program coordination for Ridgeview hospice volunteers - including recruiting, training/orientation, ongoing/annual and mandatory education, volunteer assignments and evaluations. Monitor, document and ensure compliance of Medicare and NCPCO regulatory requirements for the Ridgeview Hospice volunteer program. Assures proper screening process and complete documentation for volunteers. Coordinate and facilitate Ridgeview Hospice volunteer meetings and education programs. Design and implement volunteer appreciation activities. Communicate and collaborate regularly with Ridgeview Hospice staff to ensure appropriate volunteer-to-patient placement and reporting of any questions/concerns. Perform administrative duties as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Education/Work Experience Associate's degree Three years of related experience Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of Hospice volunteer programs and associated regulatory requirements. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Ability to meet and maintain the necessary background checks as aligned with position functions. Ability to communicate in the English language for effective written and verbal correspondence to complete job functions as mentioned above. Knowledge of basic computer functions and Microsoft Office applications. Ability to meet and maintain the necessary background checks as aligned with positions functions. Ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple assignments to meet deadlines. Ability to work autonomously and as a team.
