Company DescriptionJob Description JOB DETAILS 1st Shift: Monday-Saturday 6AM-2:30PM Pay Range: $17.00-$19.00 per hour DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The Production Associate is responsible for the fabrication and production of the component parts for the final assembly of windows. Successful candidates enjoy working in a fast-paced, physically demanding, and repetitive work environment, which includes heavy lifting or working with your hands. This job description is reflective of tasks that will be performed in a variety of departments. Perform repetitive workstation operations to mass-produce windows, doors, and glass units May support the window operations in delivering, wrapping, loading, and unloading of materials or windows Perform any workstation function using hand or power tools, saws, welders, or routers Understand and carry out verbal instructions Read and carry out simple written instructions Read work orders, labels, and schedules Use a tape measure (will be asked to read measurements during interview), inspect, examine, and observe for product defects Make fraction and decimal conversions Operate any equipment needed to perform a job Perform other duties as assigned Provide on-the-job training to new employees Overtime required Qualifications Experience in manufacturing or installing windows preferred Knowledge Manual dexterity required for operating machinery Must be a "team player". This job requires the ability to deal with people beyond giving and receiving instructions Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed and written or oral instructions Mental/Physical/Visual Demands: While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand The employee is required to walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; turning or twisting; pushing; and talk or hear Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist Must be able to pass a background check Working Conditions: While performing the duties of this job, the average plant temperature conditions range from 60 in the cooler months and up to 100 during the warmer months All workstations on the plant floor require the use of protective eyewear, hearing protection, and safety-toe and/or metatarsal shoes.
