Senior Advisor - Global Business Continuity

Location: This position will work a hybrid model (remote & office). The ideal candidate will live within 50 miles of one of our Elevance Health PulsePoint office locations.

The Senior Advisor - Global Business Continuity plays a pivotal role in developing and enhancing methodologies and best practices that align with our enterprise business resilience and continuity objectives. Being part of our dynamic Global Business Resilience team, you'll contribute to amplifying our business continuity capabilities and lend your expertise to transform innovative concepts into successful implementations. This position involves advising business leaders, fostering resilience in their business areas, and making effective use of our global business continuity framework. Your work is integral to fueling our journey of perpetual improvement and resilience enhancement.

How you will make an impact:

  • Functions as the single point of contact for Business and IT partners for all aspects of business continuity planning, support, and management.

  • Develops, designs, and implements business continuity program initiatives and projects, in collaboration with team members and stakeholders.

  • Builds relationships with business partners to serve as the primary contact supporting all aspects of business continuity planning, support, and management.

  • Assists business partners by offering constructive solutions and expert guidance that support continued resilience improvements.

  • Identifies opportunities to influence and partner with stakeholders across the enterprise to advance business continuity capabilities.

  • Monitors adoption, use, and effectiveness of business continuity processes, tools, and practices in collaboration with stakeholders.

  • Provides recommendations to improve new or existing business continuity processes, methodologies, plans, and best practices through observation, research, and analysis.

  • Identifies independent business resilience initiatives across the organization and helps to develop coordinated solutions.

  • Provides regular reporting to business partners on the resilience status of their areas and drives accountability and timely completion of business continuity planning activities.

  • Facilitates and provides feedback for solution shaping and high-level requirement collection and efforts estimation.

  • Drives program initiatives through all stages of implementation, from concept to reality.

  • Assists areas by evaluating needs and offering constructive solutions and facilitating new ideas and action items.

Minimum Requirements:

Requires an BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study and a minimum of 7 years' experience in any of the following: coaching, mentoring, monitoring and measuring Information Technology process, tools and standard practices; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:

  • Business Resiliency and Business Continuity experience and certifications strongly preferred.

  • Strong and flexible communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to varied audiences preferred.

  • Relevant certification in applicable domain, such as Project Management, Quality, Availability, and Reliability strongly preferred.

  • Experience with project management methodology, tools and processes, strongly preferred.

  • Experienced working with a large company in the health sector is a plus.

  • Experience with AI and BI for information comparison and analysis is preferred.

For candidates working in person or remotely in the below locations, the salary* range for this specific position is $117,744 to $192,672
