Job Description

Duties:

Project Engineer responsibilities include full Project Lifecycle technical support for one or more tooling related systems projects. Project Engineer will be accountable to provide technical solutions to enhance PA’s ability to deliver projects on time, within budget, with exceptional quality, and a high level of customer satisfaction. Preparing designs, project controls and specifications, schedules, cost estimates, production, transportation, installation, and commissioning of equipment.

Responsibilities:

•Participate in internal and external project reviews

•Ensure high value solutions meet customer expectations

•Adherence to PA/ATS processes, documentation requirements, reporting, etc.

•Interface with applicable owners, design through build

•Transparency in all facets of project execution

•Lead with a “can do” attitude and foster the same throughout the project team

•Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders as required

•Understand project risks and manage accordingly

•Leverage Sr. Management for problem solving and guidance as necessary

•Work with project managers to support systematic quality checks of projects at all gates

•Create a high-performance culture by of setting high expectations, empowerment, providing coaching/feedback, and reviewing team performance to ensure the highest performance standards

•Ensure that all activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the ATS Code of Business Conduct

•Demonstrate leadership in Health & Safety compliance and drive a safe working culture

•Performing project work in real time and at the location of execution as required

Additional Information

Education:

•BS in either Mechanical, Electrical or Manufacturing related fields

•AS in technical discipline and experience gained through real world application

Experience Required:

•Three to seven years of Automation related experience preferably within the automotive, off-highway, or aerospace verticals

•Ability to influence a multi-disciplinary team in an intentional, focused, respectful, and highly engaged manner

•Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills

•Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

•Refrain from removing or altering safety devices or guarding unless hazardous energies are controlled through lockout-tagout methods

•Report any unsafe conditions or unsafe acts

•Report defect in any equipment or protective device

•Ensure that the required protective equipment is used for the assigned tasks

•Attend all required health, safety and environmental training

•Report any accidents/incidents to supervisor

•Assist in investigating accidents/incidents

•Refrain from engaging in any prank, contest, feat of strength, unnecessary running or rough and boisterous conduct
