Transportation Team Lead – Transportation Hub (THub) Central / CEE Market
Location:
Warsaw based - 60% in the office (Warsaw or business trips)
Regular travels to factories and distribution centers in Poland and to other THubs – one or twice a month for 1-2 days at a time.
About the role:
Are you ready to take on a leadership role in transportation management within the dynamic Central and Eastern European (CEE) market? We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our THub Central in Warsaw and lead the transportation operations across multiple locations in Poland. This position offers an exciting opportunity for candidates with equivalent experience to make a significant impact and drive success.
The Transportation Team Lead will play a pivotal role in driving our key priorities of Service, Cost, and Sustainability. This includes ensuring high levels of service delivery to internal and external stakeholders, optimizing transportation costs, and driving sustainable practices in line with Nestlé's commitment to environmental responsibility. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to lead initiatives that contribute to the company's overall goals of excellence in service, cost efficiency, and environmental sustainability.
Key Requirements:
Languages: Proficiency in both Polish and English is essential for effective communication and coordination within the team and with external partners.
Experience in Team Management: Lead a team of 10-12 transportation professionals distributed across various locations in Poland, fostering collaboration and driving performance.
Special Competencies: We are looking for individuals who are eager to engage in direct communication, resilient, and have a strong network of carrier connections. Exposure to warehouse and factory operations, along with excellent negotiation and convincing abilities, is crucial. An openness to IT technologies and the ability to handle critical conversations are highly valued. Cross-functional teamwork with Order-to-Cash, Finance, Warehousing, and Demand and Supply Planning functions is essential for success in this role.
