Job Title: Site Support Project Engineer

Job Summary: EMCOR Government Services Inc. has an opportunity for a Site Support Project Engineer to support its operations in the DC, Maryland, Virginia area (DMV). This Engineer will be responsible for providing day-to-day planning, scheduling, and oversight to a diverse group of skilled technicians dedicated to supporting local project sites. Additionally, this position will serve as a backfill for vacant Project Management positions (i.e. deployed to lead projects on an interim basis during gaps in leadership). Lastly this position will serve as an additional resource to augment / provide IDIQ estimating support to project sites as required to assist with surge estimating requirements / workload.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ability to plan and schedule multiple trade technician’s workload to maximize productivity

  • Ability to serve as a field supervisor to oversee work in progress

  • Provide Quality control of work performed by mobile technicians, subcontractor project work, or site work when serving in a site leadership role.

  • Responsible for maintaining a certified, trained, and disciplined workforce

  • Ability to ensure that all work is being properly tracked and time is accurately captured and allocated to each project that is supported.

  • Ability to assist in the preparation of field reports and deliverables as they apply to the work being performed

  • Ability to estimate IDIQ facility related projects of varying size and scope. This includes the ability to perform job walks and work with customers and site personnel to develop / refine the scope of work for IDIQ projects.

  • Ability to backfill Project Management positions short term at various project sites (Project Managers, Operations Managers, IDIQ Managers, etc.)

Qualifications:

  • Five (5) or more years’ experience in facility management

  • Five (5) or more years’ experience in maintenance and repairs on Commercial-Industrial building equipment

  • Understanding of various facility systems (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Structural, Fire, etc.)

  • Experience and knowledge of administrative functions, reporting, budgeting and control, and business operations, reading blueprints, plant operations and maintenance, buildings envelop, grounds maintenance, equipment, housekeeping / custodial operations, construction, repair, maintenance, purchasing, inventory control, fire, safety management, and OSHA code

  • Good working knowledge of computer maintenance management systems (CMMS), Maximo experience a plus.

  • Strong experience with Windows and MS Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

  • Demonstrated skill at developing and nurturing client relationships

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work independently or as member of a team

  • Ability to adapt to ever changing priorities

  • Must have or be able to obtain a Top-Secret Clearance

  • Ability to travel throughout the DMV to meet with Project Managers and provide oversight to technicians as required

  • Must reside within the DMV, or a commutable distance from the DMV to physically provide oversight of the operations and perform QC inspections

  • Willingness to travel outside of the DMV area a plus (potential outside travel less than 15%)
