BAE Systems is actively seeking an Enterprise Architect to guide a dynamic team of developers and engineers in support of our mission-driven government client. This pivotal role encompasses the leadership and technical expertise required to deliver exceptionalcapabilities to our client and their associatedcontractors.

Emphasizing productivity and innovation within Agile environment, the selected candidate will guide our activities, focusing on the architecture, engineering, testing, and technical stewardship of product and dissemination applications and services. This role entails a comprehensive array of responsibilities:

Core Responsibilities:

  • Architect and rene application interfaces for several production and dissemination applications across the program, ensuring seamless functionalityanddesign excellence.

  • Partner with the productteamsto identify and escalate program-level challenges, working with the customer and program team to implement solutions that propel the program forward.

  • Monitor status across projects to assist with planning, design, infrastructure, and facilitating progress by the product leadandstreamlining project execution.

  • Define technical requirements and identify areas for retirement, modernization, and reuse to reduce resource requirement (costs) on the program.

  • Oversee the deployment process, ensuring timely completion of processes and policies needed to test and deploy across development, integration, and production environments.

  • Actively participate in Agile processes, oeringvaluableinsights to enhance team performance and project outcomes.

  • Generate and maintain critical project documentation, including butnotlimitedto,requirements, user and administration guides, and release notes, ensuringcomprehensive and accessible information.

As Enterprise Architect you will:

  • Communicate daily with Government leads on requirements, mission priorities, performance measures, program goals and milestones, and support needs.

  • oversee all architecture work and present overview briefings and updates to Government leads, partners, and customers; report on business area progress at performance improvement meetings; and help identify opportunities for increase effectiveness, efficiency, scale, and impact.

  • notify Government and Contract CPM/CDPM of any issues or trends that pose a risk to mission priorities.

  • assist the Contract CPM/CDPM in distilling requirements, communicating them to contract staff, and tracking progress against them.

  • provide a technical need summary to the government program manager and government technical need, giving the client a consolidated roundup across all development efforts, with a special focus on areas that need client intervention.

  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaboration, ensuring that project objectives are met with the highest standards.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

Education and Experience Requirements:

Related experience: Minimum 8 years with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years

Related Education: Master s degree in a related area OR Bachelor s degree and 2 years of additional senior experience, for a total of 10 years

Minimum Clearance:

Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI)

Qualifications:

  • Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments.

  • Plans and leads major technology assignments including those thatmay be broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks.

  • Evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success.

  • Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments.Operates with appreciable latitude in developing methodology and presenting solutions to problems.May supervise others.

Candidate must be analytical and effectively able to troubleshoot and prioritize needs, requirements, and other issues. Aside from technical skills, prospective candidates should have excellent communication, teamwork, leadership, and conflict management skills.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

Related experience:

  • Portion of the experience within the last 3 years supporting a DoD or Intelligence Community customer

  • Proven track record of interfacing and brieng government customers at all levels.

  • Extensive experience with Agiledevelopment methodologies (SAFe, Scrum).

  • Expertise in migrating applications to cloud architectures.

  • Demonstrated prociency in code design and implementation, and proficiency.

  • Familiarity with AWS, Azure, OpenShift, Kubernetes, and Docker technologies.

  • API development and management.

Certifications: Active DoD 8140/8570 IAT Level II certication, Agile certification such as Scrum, Scaled Agile Framework, or Agile Certified Practitioner, Project Management Professions

Clearance: Current CI polygraph test

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $126610 - $215270

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
