Chronos Operations (CO) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Chenega

Corporation, an Alaska Native Corporation based in Anchorage, AK. Belonging to the Military, Intelligence, and Operations Support (MIOS) Strategic Business Unit (SBU), Chronos has a culture rooted in integrity, respect, and exceptional performance. Chronos is headquartered in Colorado Springs, CO, and provides mission-critical services in Advanced Analytics & AI, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, and Intelligence.

The Lead Technologist shall provide support services to develop and implement the delivery of a pragmatic set of services in support of BISD’s Agile IT Modernization capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement cloud-based systems and assess customer environments.

  • Expert knowledge in design and delivering COTS Configuration MS Project Online utilizing approved user stories to develop and configure the COTS solution.

  • Expertise in leading customer design sessions.

  • Develop strategic and tactical briefs to executive-level leadership and other stakeholder expert knowledge in dashboarding (especially utilizing Tableau and Power BI).

  • Expert knowledge in developing, testing, and installing the COTS solution, as well as in installing and creating user and administrative accounts in the production environments.

  • Participate in discussions that seek to drive the migration to future-state tools and processes when possible, and support setup and population of new modernization Azure DevOps projects.

  • Create multiple real-time data reports with the Power BI program and present reports to stakeholders.

  • Create multiple SharePoint sites and maintain information on each site.

  • Develop multiple technical reports for development tools and guidance documentation for IT processes.

  • Provide training and professional development opportunities for the technical team to ensure that members stay current with industry best practices and maintain a high level of expertise.

  • Supporting business development activities as required (e.g., customer technical capabilities briefings, past performance content, technical solutions).

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university OR

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent and an additional 6+ years of relevant experience may be used instead of a degree

  • Must have a minimum of 4+ years of direct experience in data analysis, data visualization, and/or data management and reporting (PowerBI, Tableau, Sharepoint)

  • Must be a US citizen

  • Background check with the ability to obtain a Public Trust

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Microsoft Azure (e.g. Azure DevOps) and/or Microsoft 365 (e.g. SharePoint) certifications preferred

  • Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) certification preferred

  • Experience in SQL Server Reporting Services

  • Experience in Azure DevOps maintaining and development tools

  • experience helping development teams apply the Agile framework.

  • Ability to analyze technical problems and propose solutions

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex concepts in a clear and concise manner

  • Experience in organizational transformation and change management

  • Advanced skills in problem-solving

  • Good work ethic and active desire to learn

  • Skillful time management and organizational skills to set and meet deadlines

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Ability to work both independently and within a team

  • Ability to meet minimum security requirements
