Process Analyst (15.18)

OCT Consulting, LLC is an SBA-certified, 8(a) small business management and technology consulting firm that provides support to Federal Government clients. We provide consulting services in the areas of Strategy, Process Improvement, Change Management, Program and Project Management, Acquisition/Procurement, and Information Technology.

Responsibilities and Duties

OCT currently has an opening for a Process Analyst to work with our federal client, the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Customs and Border Protection Office of Acquisitions (OA). This position reports to the Procurement Directorate Lead as well as the Customer Service Support Project Manager performing Enterprise Services Acquisition Portfolio Management Division Support. This position is contingent upon contract award.

Day to day responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting the Government program/project manager as an interface between business units, technology teams and support teams for the purpose of developing business and technical processes.

  • Assisting the Government with the collection, evaluation and compression of data and information from multiple sources, resolve conflicts and differentiate between “as is” and required user needs.

  • Assisting the Government by partnering with key business leaders/customers to identify and evaluate key drivers to accelerate organization performance with minimal guidance from more experienced analysts or department leadership.

  • Providing a primary focus to lead process improvement initiatives through the use of disciplined, multitier process improvement methods.

  • Acting as a process improvement practitioner to the Government by leading efforts to enhance processes, reduce waste and increase effectiveness.

  • Supporting Government efforts to instill a process/performance improvement culture.

  • Aid the Government in the creation process and procedure documentation with acceptable levels of detail to benefit the business.

  • Delivering results after thorough research of functional needs by collaborating and communication between various users.

  • Using strong analytical reasoning to understand end user's requirements and transforming them into operational applications.

  • Assisting the Government program or project manager in establishing project priorities.

  • Serving as the Government program or project manager’s technical advisor on the adequacy of the program’s execution of contractual requirements related to process improvements.

  • Evaluating and monitoring results to make data driven decisions and make recommendations to leadership.

  • Presenting data findings and recommendations to Leadership and Enable senior leadership.

Requirements

Requirements:

  • Must be a US Citizen.

  • Ability to obtain and retain a Public Trust clearance; the investigation will involve a credit, fingerprint, and law enforcement agency check

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • At least 3 years experience providing expertise in the responsibilities listed above.

  • Ability to interface with senior levels of management.

  • Ability to recommend improvements to current and future team operations and processes.

  • Ability to research, gather, and synthesize data.

  • Ability to present conclusions and recommendations to management.

  • Ability to assist in maintaining the Microsoft SharePoint site.

  • Must be able to perform in a hybrid office environment at the discretion of the client (working on-site as requested while maintaining the equipment necessary/provided for remote work).

Salary Range: $95,000-110,000 commensurate with experience, education, etc.
