Amentum Senior Analyst in Washington, District Of Columbia

To provide personnel security and administrative support services for DHS Federal Protective Services (FPS) offices.

Tasks

Provides personnel and administrative support of the overall operational objectives for FPS Personnel Security Division, duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Assists the organization to become more efficient and effective through improving one or more aspects of its organizational structure or internal processes to include planning, customer outreach, and internal/external communications.

  • Considered a project manager expected to execute and close out various projects individually or collaboratively.

  • Address Personnel Security related processes and procedures by performing analysis on work flows and processes within the organization.

  • Review automation resources, interfaces, and systems to ensure that they are working accurately and efficiently in support of the organization's goals and objectives.

  • Provide recommendations for upgrades, improvements, or corrective actions.

  • Liaison between the company PM and the client.

  • Knowledge of federal regulations, public law, executive orders, and DHS Instruction.

  • Monitor GAO and IG reports and anticipate impacts that such reviews have to the personnel security environment.

  • Integrate new federal regulations and executive orders into these documents as they are developed.

  • Look for efficiencies and ensure that all processes are effective and meeting an organization's performance goals.

  • Review performance metrics from OMB, OPM and ODNI to ensure that all personnel security goals are being met - recommending adjustments that will meet and exceed those goals.

  • Be well versed in transition processes and ensure that all transitional changes will be completed in a timely and effective manner.

  • Orient or train colleagues during transitions.

  • Oversee HSPD-12 staff for PIV appointments.

  • Provide personnel security intake support.

  • Have knowledge and expertise in strategic planning, internal and external communication, employee and customer satisfaction, standardizing processes and procedures, implementing performance metrics.

  • Use effective communication techniques to facilitate meetings, chair working groups, train personnel, and report to multilayered client environment.

Minimum Experience & Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalency required.

  • Minimum ten (10) years of relevant experience.

  • Relevant experience may include experience within one or more of the standard securities and/or intelligence fields e.g., technical, physical, information, industrial, personnel and operational security.

  • Subject matter expertise and hands-on experience in one or more security and/or intelligence discipline and experience implementing complex government security and/or intelligence programs and policies is preferable.

Required Qualifications:

  • Performs security and/or intelligence services in one or more of the specialized security and/or intelligence areas.

  • Applying incident management, problem solving, and task performance.

  • Producing finished documentation; e.g., reports, special studies, policy and procedure development, security designs, training programs and assessments.

  • Providing research and technical support to projects.

  • Producing solutions and documentation.

  • Monitoring project tasks and schedules.

  • All applicants must have or be able to obtain a DHS Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Knowledge of DHS organization, regulations, processes, and systems, to include but not limited to FPS, DHS, ISMS, IDMS, eAPP, CVS, DISS, NCIC

  • Knowledge of both intake and adjudication processes and procedures

  • Prior team lead or supervisory experience

Physical Demands:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands and fingers to handle, or feel objects office equipment; use fingers and hands to type or write; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Ability to Lift up to 20 pounds, bend, reach, carry, stoop, kneel, climb, etc.
