My client is looking for a Staff Accountant to fill their role in the Washington, DC office. The ideal Staff Accountant for this role will be responsible for assisting the controller and help the accounting department achieve its internal goals. The responsibilities for the Staff Accountant will include posting cash activity weekly, monitoring the general ledger accounts, post journal entries for month-end close and help produce accurate financial statements. This organization has lots of room for growth and offers great work-life balance.

Daily responsibilities of the Staff Accountant include:

· Assist with month-end close process.

· Assist with account analysis.

· General ledger maintenance.

· Reconcile various balance sheet accounts.

· Prepare financial statements.

Requirements

The ideal Staff Accountant we seek must have the following qualifications for consideration:

· 0-1+ years of accounting experience.

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.

· Strong communication skills.
