The Stress Testing Research section within the Division of Supervision and Regulation (S&R) is seeking an intern for summer 2023. The Stress Testing Research section conducts research and analysis that inform model and policy developments relating to the Federal Reserve’s stress testing program. The section economists have an active research agenda and work on research topics such as the critical role of stress testing in the financial market, the growing role of non-bank financial institutions and the spillovers of the CARES Act. These are all important topics the section's leadership team has requested for more insights during the governor’s briefings and FAC meetings.The summer intern in the Stress Testing Research section will provide support to the section Economists and Research Assistants (RAs) on a variety of policy-relevant research projects.
The student will work closely with section staff to analyze, interpret, and present data using R, Stata, or SAS. The student will use and further develop their technical skills and their understanding of banking, finance, and economics. The section works extensively with a variety of programming and statistical packages and provide training and assistance in developing proficiency. Suggested Education: Rising college Junior or higher pursuing a degree in Finance, Economics, Data Science, Public Policy, Statistics, Business, Mathematics, or a related field of study.
