Naval Sea Systems Command LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in Washington Navy Yard, District Of Columbia

Summary This position is part of the Department of Defense Civilian Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project. The NH-3 broadband level encompasses positions equivalent to GS-12 and GS-13. You will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist in the Amphibious Assault and Connectors Program Office (PMS 317) of the Program Executive Office (PEO) Ships. Responsibilities You will assist in managing the suite of product support products for programs/projects designated to the Amphibious Assault and Connectors Program Office (PMS 317). You will be responsible for total integrated logistics support to include planning, development, implementation, and execution of logistics requirements in all phases of the platform acquisition and sustainment lifecycle. You will identify, budget, and maintain the Navy suite of product support elements to include technical data (Technical Manuals), maintenance, supply support (parts and supply chain management), training, manning, support/test equipment, etc. You will communicate orally and in writing briefing material, correspondence, and issue papers on product support issues in support of the assigned programs/projects for senior program office personnel, program office stakeholders, and customers. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-2 broadband level (GS-11 equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Performing logistics management operations that involve planning, coordinating, or evaluating the logistical actions required to support the maintenance or modernization of ship systems, weapon systems, or in a shipyard environment.
