The Commerce Platform Engineering team is building a central foundation for how various GoDaddy commerce services are built and exposed to external developers, partners, and products. We are responsible for building, maintaining, and scaling the systems and services that empower internal product and commerce services teams to build and expose various commerce APIs, utilizing the central authentication, authorization, security, different transport protocols and modes (sync/async/etc.), webhook notifications, etc. We work with other engineering teams and product teams to create the commerce domain models using Domain Driven Design (DDD) methodologies and drive the API standardization across the company. What you’ll get to do…
As a Senior Software Engineer, Commerce Platform Engineering, you will create tools and services to empower our internal engineering and product teams. These include (but not limited to) GoDaddy’s API Gateway, Authentication and Authorization (OAuth) services, Discovery services, API security services, while defining the API specification standards and common object models (OpenApi Specification) that are shared across all commerce domains. You will be working very closely with the principal engineers and architects in the API standardization efforts.
Your experience should include…
5+ years of Java, server-side programming, and developing secure, highly performant cloud applications
You’ve designed and implemented external facing, highly organized APIs for a third-party ecosystem
Expertise in large scale cloud/API services, distributed systems, databases (SQL and NoSQL), Java web app threading model, REST, HTTP, OAuth2, and multi-layered security.
Experience in micro services and related technologies (docker, Kubernetes and others)
Experience in OO, DI, IoC design patterns, messaging systems, asynchronous processing.
Experience with developing for public clouds (AWS or others)

- Experience working with data pipelines, data warehousing, and analytics tools (Spark, Hadoop,
You’ve used Kafka, Elasticsearch and Redis in production
Have worked on Performance testing, profiling or optimizations before.

GoDaddy's compensation is local to where you are and may vary based on an individual's qualifications at the time of the offer. The anticipated annual base salary ranges for select locations are listed below:
Seattle, New York City -$112000.00 to $140000.00
Colorado, Washington State -$96000.00 to $120000.00
