Electronic Environments Junior AV Technician in Water Mill, New York

We are currently looking for entry level a Field Service Technician/Warehouse Assistant . This position is based out of our Hamptons office.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Install and commission custom AV control systems including but not limited to:

    • Wire ring out.
  • Wire management, trimming, proper wire labeling standards, and termination including: RG6, Fiber, Cat6, Cat6A RJ-45 Compression, Solder, etc.

  • Lighting Keypad s and touch panel installation s.

  • TV brackets and other mechanical display support devices.

  • Physical installation of control system components : racks, TVs, speakers, video walls , projectors, and other equipment .

  • D ocument status reports, procedures, and updates to the project within project software . Provide daily updates to project team in applicable platform.

  • Work alongside lead and field technician s to s etup and test AV signal flows, equipment functionality, and programming.

  • Perform basic diagnostics , troubleshoot ing , and testing of systems during installation phases with lead technician . Report & document issues as applicable .

  • On-call weekend rotation is required . 

    Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

  • Preferred b asic knowledge of AV equipment & home automation control systems.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Must be organized and proficient in time management skills.

  • Comfortable interacting with VIP clientele in a fast-paced environment.

  • Familiarity with product lines including Crestron, Savant, Sonos, Lutron, Snapav , Access Networks, Sonance , Bluebolt , Future Automation, and Seura is a plus.

  • Working knowledge of Crestron Toolbox, Savant, Dyn, DNS, etc is a plus.

  • Experience in technical troubleshooting a plus .

  • Ability to lift, move, and push 50 lbs.

  • OSHA 40 and applicable SST certification required . (or able to obtain with 6 months of employment)

  • Valid driver’s license required.

  • Crestron Savant, Lutron and/or other manufacturers’ training certifications a plus.
